Peace
These days my mantra is peace and gratitude. In moments of chaos, or as realistic as chaos is in my life, I finally am able to recognize the chaos as being outside of my control. I am reminded of what I am in control of when chaos occurs, only myself.
I start everyday by brewing my hot water, pouring it over my super concentrated ginger cube, a plop of an ice cube to make it drinkable, and then I take a seat in my cozy chair nestled in the perfect corner of the living room so that I can look out of the window at the sunshine peaking through the neighboring buildings. A moment of peace spent with the Lord as I read my Bible, devotion and journal my prayer for the day. In my reading, I am reminded of God’s love and the will of God to live peacefully and kindly.
Usually I am scared of stillness, but these days I am embracing it. I honor peace, in fact I seek it constantly. Now, I actually able to feel it too.
